The company entered a new phase of management and, within a business culture that combines tradition with modernization, became more dynamic and competitive.

New Manufacturing Facility Installed
Expansion of production capacity and installation of a new manufacturing unit.

1986
Rotomolding
Start of the rotomolding activity: a pioneering step toward in-house production of tanks and technical components in polyethylene, reinforcing Rocha’s autonomy and capacity for innovation.

1995
Launch of the Fertilizer Spreader Range
Start of a new business area with the launch of the fertilizer spreader range, reinforcing Rocha’s position as one of the leading players in agricultural mechanization in Portugal.

2008
A New Chapter in Corporate Structure
Transformation of Rocha into a Public Limited Company: a milestone in the professionalization of management and the consolidation of the corporate structure.

2009
PME Excelência
Rocha was recognized as a PME Excelência (SME Excellence) company under the FINCRESCE program, in acknowledgment of the quality of its performance and risk profile. An award that accompanied the company over several years, reinforcing its credibility and strength in the sector.

2012
Pruning Equipment
Start of a new business area with the production of pruning equipment range, reinforcing Rocha’s diversification strategy, commitment to innovation, and close relationship with its customers in the agricultural sector.

2015
New Facilities
The new construction, which included two warehouses totaling 7,800 m², aimed to improve the quality of employees’ work and equip Rocha with state-of-the-art equipment. With these new areas added to the existing ones, the company now has a total of 13,500 m², strengthening its operational capacity.

2017
Lean Production System (Western term for the Toyota Production System)
The Lean methodology results from an integration of methods and tools developed in the 1990s in the industrial sector, particularly in the automotive industry. The Lean Production System focuses on eliminating/reducing activities that do not add value and generate waste and costs for the company.

2020
Autonomous Sprayer Robot – Innovation continues to shape the company’s journey
In partnership with INESC TEC, Rocha developed an autonomous sprayer robot for mountain vineyards. This technology helps reduce pesticide use and promotes more efficient and sustainable agriculture.

2022
Honourable Mention – Best Exporting SME (AICEP)
Pulverizadores Rocha, S.A. received an honourable mention from AICEP, being one of two companies nominated for the Best Exporting SME award, in recognition of its excellent performance in international markets.
